Jake Heaps, rated the No. 1 quarterback for 2010 by Scout.com is a very wanted man and the University of Tennessee is right there at the top fighting for him.The five-star recruit from Skyline High School in Issaquah, WA has the Vols in his top five along with BYU, Washington, California and LSU.
Many are expecting a commitment from Heaps as early as this week, and rumors have been swirling around that Heaps has indeed silently committed to UT. I have not heard this if it is true, so it is just a rumor at this point.
I feel that Heaps will end up at UT when everything is all said and done, I just don't think it will be as soon as a lot of people think. Whatever the case is, Kiffin and company need to lock this guy up before another school can get in there and steal him. This kid is special and he could be just what UT needs.
