Jesse Scroggins To Choose Between USC and UT Wednesday

Highly touted quarterback prospect Jesse Scroggins is scheduled to announce which school he will be attending this Wednesday. The California prospect was originally supposed to announce his choice this weekend at the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp, but elected to announce before that.

The 6-foot-3, 200 pound prospect has narrowed his choice to USC, UT and Florida, however many feel that Florida has been eliminated from contention.

While it seems that Scroggins will be headed to USC, the Vols have the depth chart card to play and it might be enough to get the four star recruit in Knoxville. USC has a loaded depth chart, where as the Vols are lacking any real opposing threat at the QB spot, making it a legitimate possibility that Scroggins could be the starter from day one.

The million dollar question remains will the Vols finally land a premier quarterback for the 2010 class, or will they be left in the dust again just like when Jake Heaps (BYU), Andrew Hendrix (Notre Dame), Blake Bell (Oklahoma) and Chase Rettig (Boston College) all chose other schools.
