Brett Favre Is Tough

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre admitted that he thinks he has a cracked rib. The 39-year old said that he has trouble breathing, but he isn't expected to miss any time because of this. There has been no official diagnosis, but because Favre is Favre, he can also be a doctor when he wants.

Favre is slated to play the entire first half of the Vikings final pre-season game against the Houston Texans and isn't listed on Minnesota's injury report. The best part about the whole thing is that the three-time MVP doesn't plan on wearing any special padding to protect the injury.

Favre is such an old school tough guy that a little broken rib isn't going to slow him down. I bet Favre will have no problems getting the respect of his entire team now that he admittedly is going to play a pre-season game through an injury. Tavaris Jackson stands no chance at beating out Favre for playing time this season.
