NCAA Football Thursdays have become one of my favorite times of the Week. It serves as bonus football no matter who is playing. This week there are two games: Colorado at West Virginia at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and there is also another non-national televised game featuring Southern Miss at UAB at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Colorado is a heavy 18-point underdog to West Virginia and frankly they deserve to be. They are 1-2 with their only win coming in a 24-0 defeat of a dreadful Wyoming team last week.
West Virginia is 2-1 on the year with their only loss coming to a surprising Auburn team last week 41-30. WV is experiencing life without Pat White and it has been an up and down adjustment for the Mountaineers. Senior Jarrett Brown has taken the reigns as the starting quarterback and has done an alright job, but to say there has been a drop off is a severe understatement. Brown has thrown for 798 yards and five touchdowns, but he also has thrown five interceptions. He is second on the team in rushing with 208 yards on 38 carries. The team leader in rushing is Noel Devine, who has 320 yards on 51 carries and five touchdowns. Expect West Virginia to roll, but if Brown is having a bad game - it could be a struggle.
