With that being said, the future for Jackson as a member of the Vols still is uncertain, but this is certainly good news for Jackson. All signs point towards Jackson being able to rejoin the team, but the question is when. With one regular season game left and then a bowl game in the future, it makes sense to suspend Jackson for the remainder of the year, or at least for the regular season finale against Kentucky. Sunday, Vols coach Lane Kiffin said that he hasn't made a decision concerning Jackson.
Charges were also dropped against 22-year-old Marie Montmarquet, who had been accused of driving the getaway car. According to ESPN.com, The district attorney's office said neither person knew the robbery was going to happen.
Charges are still pending against Jackson's former teammates, Nu'Keese Richardson and Mike Edwards, who are accused of holding up two men at a convenience store. Both Richardson and Edwards were kicked off the Vols football team because of the incident.
