A-Rod Still Sucks In Postseason

Alex Rodriguez may have had a big part in helping the New York Yankees take a 3-1 series lead last night over the Philadelphia Phillies, but the highest paid players in major league baseball is still not living up to postseason expectations.

Rodriguez struck out six times in the first two games. He homered in Game 3, and through the first 8 innings of Game 4, he was hitless. In the ninth, the third baseman gave the Yankees the lead on an RBI double off Phillies closer Brad Lidge.

A-Rod is hitting .143 in the series, and if it wasn't for his timely hit - many Yankees fans would be really pissed right now. It just goes to show you that timing is everything. If Rodriguez doesn't get anymore hits in the series, he will still be remembered as having the big hit that won Game 4. Baseball is a funny game like that, but shouldn't the Yankees be getting a little more than a couple hits from the highest paid player in the league?

  1. A-Rod always looks like he doesn't care when he's playing. Too bad you can't dock pay for playing like crap, maybe then he might step it up
