The University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech will clash heads in the 2009 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, December 31.
According to KnoxNews.com, this comes from a source very familiar to the bowl selection process. The Vols still don't have an official bid either verbally or in writing at this point according to a separate source in the UT athletic program, but that appears to be a formality.
The Vols (7-5, 4-4 SEC) fell into the Chick-fil-A Bowl when the Outback Bowl surprisingly selected Auburn earlier on Tuesday, breaking from tradition and selecting a team from the SEC West over the second-place finisher in the East.
