Broncos Brandon Lloyd On The Trade Block

The Broncos has reportedly been shopping around All-Pro receiver Brandon Lloyd. The nine year pro really never lived up to potential until last year when he led the league with 1,448 yards. He had 11 touchdowns to compliment that. After poor seasons with San Francisco, Washington and Chicago, Denver seemed to be the right fit for Lloyd.

This season Lloyd has been solid through four games with 19 catches for 283 yards. Not bad for a struggling Broncos offense.

It is interesting that the Broncos would be shopping their best receiver when it was just announced that Tim Tebow will be the new starting quarterback. It is likely due to the fact that Lloyd is a deep threat and that is not going to be Tebow's style.

The Broncos are asking for a third, fourth or fifth round pick in exchange for Lloyd and there are reports that a few teams are interested. It could be a low risk, high reward for a team looking for a big time receiver.
