Sources: Carson Palmer To The Raiders

The retirement appears over for Carson Palmer as the Cincinnati Bengals are set to receive two first round picks from the Oakland Raiders in exchange.

Needing to fill a void fast as a result of Jason Campbell's collarbone injury, the Raiders have apparently found their guy in Palmer. Dropping two first round picks is a big deal and it proved to be enough for the Bengals to get rid of their former quarterback. It's a risky move for the Raiders, but if Palmer is productive in the black and silver, it could be a very worthwhile move. There was nothing to lose for the Bengals, but getting two first round picks for a player that said he wouldn't play for Cincinnati seems like a pretty good deal.

According to the report, the first first-round pick is in 2012 and the other is a conditional first-round pick in 2013. Palmer was in the Bay Area on Tuesday morning getting a physical before the deal could be completed.
According to a source, if the Raiders win a playoff game in the 2011 season, the Bengals would get a first-round draft pick in 2013. If the Raiders don't win a playoff game in the 2011 season then the Bengals would receive a second-round pick in 2013.
