Nutt Out At Mississippi

Multiple sources are confirming that Mississippi Rebels head football coach Houston Nutt will not return next season. It is also being reported that athletic director Pete Boone also will not return once the university hires his replacement.

Nutt is in his fourth season as head football coach and after a promising beginning to his tenure that saw the Rebels win nine games in each of his first two seasons, Ole Miss has lost 12 straight Southeastern Conference games. Ole Miss is 2-7 overall and 0-6 in SEC play this year.

There isn't any question that Nutt is a good football coach, but winning is the number one goal. Whenever you have a last place team, there is a chance of a coaching change. That is the way it has been and it is the way it always will be.
