Patriots Cut Albert Haynesworth

So much for resurrecting his career. Albert Haynesworth, a once stud defensive tackle with the Tennessee Titans is now just the latest to see his very promising career plummet in a matter of a few seasons.

After seeing what a train wreck Haynesworth was with the Washington Redskins, the New England Patriots decided to sign the disgruntled veteran prior to the 2011 season. Haynesworth entered camp with determination and he declared that he was going to redeem himself and return to his once high level of play. Barely halfway through the season, the Patriots decided they were tired of waiting for the has-been to show glimpses of his former All-Pro self.

It is hard to imagine Haynesworth being picked up this season after his horrendous track record the past couple of years unless he is willing to go somewhere for cheap. Knowing how Haynesworth operates, I would be hard to image him doing anything for cheap especially since we all witnessed how he performed when the Redskins gave him $100 million.
