Why Alabama and LSU Could Meet Up Again In The National Championship

After losing a 9-6 defensive battle against LSU Saturday in overtime, Alabama only dropped one spot in the BCS Standings. The now No. 3 team in the country still has a chance at the national title game and frankly, they should.

Oklahoma State moved up to No. 2 in the most recent standings, with Stanford fourth and Boise State fifth.

Oklahoma State faces No. 6 Oklahoma in Week 15 on December 3 that could prove to be the deciding factor in where Alabama finishes the season. Stanford faces Oregon on November 12 and Notre Dame on November 26, so if the Cardinal have a slip-up in one of those games, the door could be open for Alabama to reclaim the No. 2 spot if LSU and the Tide don't lose any games from here on out.

It doesn't appear that there would be a better match-up for a National Championship game than a rematch of what took place this past Saturday between Alabama and LSU.
