It's Bama vs. LSU Part 2 For BCS National Championship

When Alabama hosted LSU this season, it was a great game. LSU ended up winning 9-6 in overtime. It was such a great game that many fans wanted to see a rematch between both teams for the BCS National Championship. Those fans got their wish when the final BCS standings were released last night. The two teams will face off January 9 in New Orleans and it shouldn't be any other way.

It's hard to argue that there are two better teams in college football than LSU (13-0) and Alabama (11-1). With Alabama's one loss coming to LSU, it is only fair to put them in the title game against the number one team in the country, given that the other contenders each had one loss as well.

There were a couple teams that made a strong bid for making the championship game. Oklahoma State (11-1) had a tremendous season capped off with a 41-10 win over rival Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game.

Stanford was the other team that you could possibly argue had a chance at making the big game. The Cardinal finished the regular season 11-1 and were the top team in the Pac-12. They will play Oklahoma State in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on January 2.
