Vols Grant Arnett Release

Vols to be sophomore receiver DeAnthony Arnett has been granted his release from the Vols to transfer to a school to be closer to his ailing father in Michigan. The two schools Arnett will most likely transfer to are Michigan and Michigan State.

Arnett made his intentions to transfer known last month and under usual circumstances, Tennessee would have only allowed Arnett to transfer to a MAC school in Michigan. However, under the circumstances - Vols head coach Derek Dooley and the school felt it was necessary to allow Arnett to transfer without any problems.

After being rated as one of the highest recruits in the 2011 class, Arnett had 24 catches for 242 yards and two touchdowns in his freshman season for the Vols.
