It was widely speculated that the Pittsburgh Steelers would use their franchise tag on receiver Mike Wallace. The Steelers have confirmed that they do not intend on doing this and will instead tender the restricted free-agent. The problem with this is that another team will have the opportunity to make the receiver offers. The Steelers will of course have the opportunity to match or beat the offer to try and retain the star wideout.
Several teams could be looking to add Wallace to their rosters this off-season. The Washington Redskins have made it known that they intend on adding a high profile receiver to their team this offseason. There isn't a better one on the market than Wallace as far as I'm concerned.
