Redskins Smart To Utilize Alexander at Inside Linebacker

Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander has been nothing short of a solid player when he has stepped foot on the field. Primarly a special teams force as a backup outside linebacker, the Redskins have decided to move him as a primary backup to inside linebackers Londer Fletcher and Perry Riley.

Honestly, the move makes sense. The 6-foot-1, 275 lb. beast is meant to play on the inside. In his five years in the league with the Redskins, Alexander has spent time dabbling at different positions on the field. Inside linebacker may be just where Alexander needs to be.

  1. The Redskins need a physical presence in the middle of the field to put the "FOG" into opposing receiver running a inside route.
