Miami Dolphins Will Be On HBO Hard Knocks This Summer

We didn't know who it was going to be, or even if the HBO hit series Hard Knocks would continue in 2012. After talk of the New York Jets being the team once again, or possibly even the Atlanta Falcons, the Miami Dolphins have been selected as the team HBO will profile in the summer of 2012.

The 2012 Dolphins make up an interesting story heading into the upcoming season. Miami selected quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the No. 8 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Tannehill is expected to have the opportunity to compete with Matt Moore for the starting job. A little quarterback battle is always intriguing.

In addition to the quarterback situation, the Dolphins have a new head coach in Joe Philbin. The former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator has high expecatations in Miami after running one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL.

Hard Knocks puts a lot of things in perspective and it will surely be interesting for Dolphins fans to tune in this season. Miami has had a lot of headlines this off-season, so it is fitting for a team that traded arguably its best offensive weapon, failed to sign Peyton Manning and had the first questionable pick in the NFL Draft to star on the HBO series.
