Three Prospects That Can Help The Wizards
With the NBA draft slated to happen tomorrow night, let's take a look at three prospects that would help the Washington Wizards out at No. 3 overall:
Bradley Beal - Guard, Freshman, Florida Gators
Beal is a shooter and there isn't anything the Wizards need more than a guy that can knock down shots. Beal has been compared to Ray Allen, but I'm not so certain he is deserving of such a comparison. Not to knock Beal, but Allen is one of the greatest pure shooters to ever play the game. Beal can be a very good player and would definitely fill a hole for the Wizards at shooting guard. However, let's hold the Allen comparisons until the guy proves he can consistently score 20 a game in the NBA.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - Forward, Freshman, Kentucky
If Beal is gone, the Wizards could turn to the hard nosed small forward out of Kentucky. MKG might not be the best shooter, but let's face it - the guy is a great player that makes others around him better. I saw the comparison to Scottie Pippen and I like it. MKG will never be able to carry a team on his own, but he will be a great compliment to a superstar. He will play hard every game and he knows how to win. Players that put everything on the line each game aren't as easy to find as they should be. You can be certain that MKG will make the Wizards a better team.
Thomas Robinson - Forward, Junior, Kansas
Another hard nosed player that would improve the Wizards would be Robinson. He is a tough rebounder and can score. Even though he is only 6-foot-9, he is strong enough to make a serious impact on the glass in the NBA. Alongside Nene and Emeka Okafor, the Wizards could have a dominating front court.
