Sources are reporting that Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has a good chance to start the Redskins 2013 opener. The second-year pro underwent reconstructive knee surgery in early January after the playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
RGIII still has a long way to go in his rehabilitation, but this is certainly encouraging news for the star quarterback. The 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has established himself as a leader both on and off the field in Washington. Having him healthy and ready to go in 2013 would be a huge thing for the Redskins. Certainly they won't rush him back before he is ready to go, but the fact that the rehab is going well, give the Redskins something positive to look forward to after the season ended with such uncertainty.
