Vols Hoops Making Late Season Push

Led by Jordan McRae's 27 points, the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team dropped No. 8 Florida 64-58 to notch their sixth straight win. The Vols (17-10, 9-6 SEC) are starting to draw NCAA Tournament buzz after this latest win over the Florida Gators (22-5, 12-3).

McRae has been on a surge as of late, racking up 23 against LSU and a career-high 34 against Texas A&M. With McRae surging on offense, Jarnell Stokes has been dominating the boards. Stokes grabbed 14 rebounds against the Gators and his play in the post has been an integral part of the Vols late-season run.

The Vols have three games remaining on their regular season schedule. Next up, the Vols travel to Georgia on Saturday to take on the Bulldogs. The Vols are on the road again Wednesday as they play Auburn. Tennessee finishes the regular season at home against Missouri next Saturday.

With three winnable games left in the season, the Vols could finish with 20 wins - improving their chances for a NCAA Tournament bid as well as seed in the SEC Tournament.
