Rodriguez To Orioles Just In Time

Bolstering its bullpen is always an important factor for teams that have playoff hopes. For the Baltimore Orioles it became a necessity. The answer for Baltimore was to acquire Francisco Rodriguez, on of the best relievers in baseball, from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Rodriguez will fill a setup role for the Orioles and will surely ease some of the pressure in late inning situations. The need for more bullpen help was made even more apparent last night as the Orioles lost 4-3 to Kansas City after leading the game heading into the eighth inning.

Rodriguez has 10 saves, 26 strikeouts and a 1.09 ERA this season with the Brewers. He has 304 saves and a 2.64 ERA over a 12 year big league career.
