Petersen To Be Next Washington Coach

Boise State head coach Chris Petersen is expected to be named the Washington head coach Friday, according to sources. After turning down offers for years, Petersen obviously felt like the time to make a career move was now as he takes over the vacancy left by Steve Sarkisian.

Petersen went 92-12 for a winning percentage of near 90% during his eight years as Boise State's head coach. During that span, Boise State won five conference titles and two BCS games.

It is clear that this was a mega hire for Washington as they get a coach that many teams desired. With this move, Petersen is expected to be one of the Pac-12's highest paid coaches.
