Redskins Great LaVar Arrington Can't Say He Is A Redskins Great
There is no doubt that LaVar Arrington is one of the greatest Washington Redskins ever. Before injuries took over late in his career, Arrington was one of the most feared defenders in the league. His pass rushing and pursuit made him one of the best players in the league and he eventually was named one of the greatest Redskins of all time in 2012.
So it seemed fitting that Arrington marketed himself as a Redskins Great on a tackling camp poster he is hosting. No problem, right? Wrong.
Arrington took to twitter to announce that the Redskins issued a cease and desist from a Redskins lawyer after posting the flyer.
After playing six of his seven seasons in Washington, Arrington compiled 411 tackles, 23.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles over his career. His best season came in 2002, when Arrington had 92 tackles, 11 sacks and three forced fumbles. The numbers are not as great as they could have been as injuries forced an early retirement, but when Arrington was on the field - he was a force and certainly one of the greatest Redskins of all-time.
