Carmelo Sticks With The Knicks

The Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes are over as the forward has decided to re-sign with the New York Knicks. The terms of the contract have not been finalized, but it is believed to be a five-year deal worth between $122 million and $129 million.

Anthony cited his reasons for returning to New York, but his decision was almost solidified because of the amount of money New York could give him. Chicago was a contender, but they were not able to come close to that amount to bring Anthony to town.

I think Anthony would have been a great fit in Chicago, but it would have been hard to believe Anthony would have turned down the amount of money he was offered to stay in New York.
