Packers Get Smart, Extend Jordy Nelson's Contract

The Green Bay Packers did one of the smartest things they could have done this offseason by signing receiver Jordy Nelson to a four year, $39 million contract extension. The deal includes a $11.5 million signing bonus and $14.2 million guaranteed.

Nelson, 29, has been nothing short of a stud for the Packers and has emerged as Aaron Rodgers number one target. The receiver took Green Bay's low ball offer in 2011 just to stay with the Packers, but it's nice to see the team return the favor.

Look for Rodgers and Nelson to continue to tear up NFL defenses for at least four more years.
