Redskins Flat Out Suck

I may bleed burgundy and gold when it comes to watching pro football, but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of the dismal display the Washington Redskins showed today against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In fact, because I am such a die hard fan, it gives me every right in the world to rip the team apart.

I have been and continue to be a Robert Griffin III supporter, but for the first time today, I am beginning to doubt whether he is the future for the Redskins. His indecisiveness and inability to make easy throws at times, make you wonder if he will ever have what it takes to continually be the answer at the helm for the 'Skins. Granted, the offensive line is one of the worst collection of linemen to every step foot on the field at the same time.

The Redskins offense is loaded with weapons, but they continue to shoot blanks, despite numerous opportunities to make big plays in every game. The chemistry is not there, and I'm starting to doubt if it ever will be there. Desean Jackson is open on nearly every play, but the team still is having trouble getting him the ball. Pierre Garcon continues to be heavily underutilized in this offense.

The one bright spot on offense continues to be running back Alfred Morris. However, as teams begin to realize the Redskins cannot throw the ball with any consistency, defenses will continue to key on Morris, which will begin to limit his productivity.

The Redskins defense has been as up and down as you can get. The defense played brilliantly against Dallas a few weeks ago, but has been terrible in almost every other game this season. We all knew the secondary would be pathetic this season per usual, but the defensive line has been my biggest disappointment. I thought this defensive line was finally going to be able to pressure the quarterback this year. Nope, not even close.

I'm not even going to touch special teams, other than saying with how many college kickers there are, shouldn't the ones that make it to the NFL be able to make 50-yard field goals routinely? These guys should be able to make these kicks in their sleep. Every other team in the NFL has a kicker that can consistently make kicks, why the hell can't Kai Forbath make these kicks? Since he can't, let's find a kicker that can. There should be plenty available.

As a Redskins fan, I am embarrassed by this team. Will I ever give up on them, hell no. That's not my style. I will however call it like it is, and frankly this team sucks. They suck and I do not see it getting better any time soon.
