Knox Animal is the blog for what's going on around the sports world. This blog was created as a place to express my opinions on various topics in the sports business. Focusing on both professional and college sports, Knox Animal is the place for both popular sports topics and topics that I find interesting. As a former sports writer for a local newspaper in college, I wanted to keep my passion alive as best I could. So this blog was created. Knox Animal originated as a sports, music and popular current events blog.After doing much analysis over the amount of content that was published on Knox Animal, it was apparent that this was a sports blog through and through. I wanted to eliminate any confusion as to what kind of blog this was, so I decided to focus on sports alone.

My name is Chris Murray and I am originally from the Gaithersburg, Maryland area, but have lived in Knoxville, TN since 2000, so I take special interest in the Vols and other Knoxville based events. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Journalism and Electronic Media. I will mainly feature sports and entertainment posts on this site, but I will post anything that interests me and I find the need to discuss.
